St. Joseph's School Night at Oliver's
Oliver's Restaurant (Formerly the Katonah Grill) is celebrating their Grand Re-Opening with their first annual St. Joseph's School Nights on June 29th & 30th. This was the last PTO meeting for the 2009–2010 school year. The teachers provided the parents with dessert. Ann Dignam began the meeting with an opening prayer.
Science Lab:
Annual Golf Outing
We are pleased to announce that this year St. Joseph's annual golf outing will be held at the Salem Golf Club in North Salem on Monday June 28th. The day will include lunch, 18 holes of golf with cart, beverage service, reception, prizes & more. Additional details are included in the attached brochure.
Golfer registration is required by Friday June 18th, with an "early bird" discount offered to foursomes that register by May 31st.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to fit any budget and can be customized to fit any need.
PTO Meeting
PTO ELECTIONS and the final PTO meeting for the year will be on Wednesday, May 26th. For those interested in running for a PTO position the process is fairly simple. At the meeting nominations will be made for each office (yes, you can nominate yourself). Once the nominations are in, those in attendance vote for the candidate of their choice for each office. There is plenty of room for anyone interested in taking a more active role in the PTO. Be sure to attend the meeting, meet the nominees, perhaps become a nominee, and cast your vote.
Spring Clothing Drive
The Spring Clothing Drive is the weekend of June 4, 5, & 6. Volunteers are still needed to accept clothing drop offs and to help fill the truck. Any help is welcome whether it an hour or all day. We have been scheduling volunteers for 2 hour blocks of time from 2 to 4 on Friday, 10 - 6 on Saturday, and 9-1 on Sunday. Additional help can be used throughout the weekend but it is particularly needed on Sunday from 11 to 1, and then from 2 until the truck is loaded. If you can help out for any length of time, on any day, or need more information, please give Ann a call at 845-277-5613.
Annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
The Annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon Will be Held at St. Joseph’s School on Friday, May 7th
We will be providing a served lunch for the teachers as a small token of our appreciation for their efforts. The luncheon will take place after dismissal on May 7th, which is a half-day.
Patty Kiernan will be coordinating the event and preparing much of the food again this year. Volunteers are needed to help with the luncheon and after-care, please contact Patty if you can help. (PAKiernan@AOL.com)
A suggested donation of $5 per family is requested.
