Catholic Schools Week - We will begin Catholic Schools Week with an Open House this Sunday. Below are some additional details:

Sunday, January 31^st – Open House from 10AM to 1PM

Monday – Crazy Sock Day: Students may wear the silliest and craziest socks they own or create with their uniform.

Tuesday – International Luncheon 11:55 – 12:30: All students will have the opportunity to taste foods from different cultures.

Wednesday – Faculty v. 8^th Grade Volleyball Game, 1PM: The Faculty will attempt to keep their unbeaten streak alive against the students in the 8^th Grade.

Thursday – School Spirit Day: Students may wear a tshirt/sweatshirt of their favorite school, high school or college/university. This is a Dress Down Day.

The Student Talent Show will be held at 7PM Thursday in the Auditorium. Sign-ups are taking place now and must be in by Friday, January 29^th.

Friday – School Mass, 9AM: 8^th Graders will receive their Class Pins during the Mass.

Legislative Forum - The rally is scheduled for tomorrow evening. We would like to fill the auditorium at Stepinac High School in White Plains. Each school is asked to have a minimum of ten parents. Please notify the school office if you plan to attend.

Haitian Relief - In addition to our collection last week, the Student Council has asked permission to hold a Bake Sale next week. The Bake Sale will be held this Friday during lunch time. Regular snacks will not be sold in the kitchen.

60^th Anniversary - I invite any parent who would like to be part of the 60^th Anniversary Committee to contact the office. A meeting will be scheduled soon to plan a celebration in the spring.

Confirmation Preparations

Parent Meeting – There will be a Parent Meeting this evening for those who have students in 7^th Grade. This is part of the preparations for Confirmation. The meeting is at 7:30PM in Bittner Hall.

Rite of Inscription – On Sunday afternoon, January 31^st, our 7^th Grade students will attend the 12 Noon Mass where they will make a formal commitment to fulfill their Confirmation obligations.

Mark Your Calendars - The 8^th Grade Graduation Photos will be taken on Tuesday, February 9^th starting at 8:30 AM. Each student will have their picture taken wearing a gown and holding the cap.

Emergency Contact Information - On Monday the area experienced a power outage that affected our school. We implemented our IRIS system to notify parents of the situation.

We did experience a small number of isolated instances where parents did not receive the notification and these were addressed the next day. However, this highlights the importance of having up-to-date and accurate contact information.

REMINDER - Please remember when dropping your child off at school after 8:30AM they must be brought into the school, signed-in at the office and a note to the teacher must be written.
