On behalf of our Pastor, Msgr. Moore, our parish priests, Fr. Jude and Fr. Matthew, all of the teachers and staff here at St. Joseph's, I wish you and your families a blessed Thanksgiving.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Luncheon - On Tuesday, November 24^th, the Kindergarten held its' annual Thanksgiving celebration by hosting a luncheon for their families. The celebration started with a performance by the students and ended with a delightful meal worthy of the pilgrims!.

Family members, including student siblings, were invited to attend. Everyone in ATTENDANCE had a wonderful time and filled themselves with lots of good food!

Preschool Thanksgiving Celebrations - To accommodate parents and make sure that they were able to be on hand and see and hear the children sing songs, the Preschool Thanksgiving Brunch was modified a bit this year. Performing in their classrooms, the “littlest students” sang Thanksgiving songs and then shared a snack with their families.

Thanksgiving Prayer Service - On Wednesday morning, November 26^th, we held our Annual Thanksgiving Prayer Service. Students entered the auditorium holding items that they were thankful for or that represented someone or something they were thankful for. Our Student Council Members led us in prayer. Parents joined us as we thanked our Lord for all the good things we have and asked Him to watch over those who will go without this year.

School Pictures - Some information regarding school pictures. The Class Photo will be a composite photo. This means that the picture will be made up of individual photos of each child and not a group shot. Therefore, the Class Picture will not be ready for distribution until after Retake Day. This will ensure that all students will have the opportunity to be in the Class Picture. This was noted on the Order Form.

If any parent wishes their child's picture be retaken, they MUST return the ordered photos to Davis Studio on Retake Day, which is Wednesday, December 2^nd. Students who were absent on Picture Day will have the opportunity to take their picture on Retake Day. Please send a note to the office if your child will need a picture taken on Wednesday. Order forms are available in the office. Only students needing their picture taken should wear their Regular School Uniform. All other students should wear their gym uniform.

IBM Matching Grant Program - For the last few years St. Joseph's and its' students have benefited from the IBM Matching Grant Program by providing desktops, laptops and printers. This program is coming to an end on December 10^th. If you or someone you know is a current or retired employee of IBM this is a wonderful way to support your local public or Catholic school.

Gift Cards - Time to start your Christmas shopping soon … how about using gift cards to shop or to give as gifts and support our school at the same time??

Visit www.shopwithscrip.com to view which retailers are available and then order online. Order forms are downloadable from St. Joseph's website or you can find them in the school lobby. All orders in by Dec. 1^st will be delivered to the school by Dec. 8^th.
